The Government 2.0 Taskforce has just released its final report - Engage: Getting on with Government 2.0. I’ve been eager to see the release of this report, not only because of its generous attribution to me for the Government 2.0 Taskforce logo and cover design , but also because it’ll hopefully provide the concise [...]

This is the second talk I gave at the recent Create Conference (November 2009), which is all about more effective writing for websites. I thought I’d reproduce it here for those who were asking me about it afterwards, and for anyone else for whom this might be useful. You can also view the slides (below) [...]

Create Conference - the conference run by FEVA for churches and other ministries to tackle gospel communication issues - is on again soon, and I’ve just completed the latest version of the website.
The Create Conference is on Saturday 14 November, and by the looks of the program, it’s about twice as big as last year. [...]

This is the new design I created for the createconference.org.au website for 2009, updating the design that I did last year. The brand had to still clearly focus on the airship, but FEVA was very keen to have a new look and feel, to emphasise the strong drive of creativity.
Last year’s vintage neo-Victorian ‘look’ was [...]

After Day 1 of Oz IA, I thought I’d put up a few extra thoughts about Day 2. It was cut short for me due to other responsibilities, but all up it was a hugely humbling, rewarding, energising and inspiring experience.
The coffee, gourmet juices and tweets continued to flow freely, and the sessions got even [...]

I’m finally home after day 1 of Oz IA 2009, and absolutely knackered. What. A. Day. The presentation content was as diverse and interesting as the program suggested, but for me the greatest highlight was the meeting of minds of so many IAs.
First up was Matt Hodgson’s The Evolution of the Agile IA. Matt took [...]

OZ-IA, the Woodstock for Australia’s information architects, is on again - Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October. It should be a hoot, and this year I’ll be speaking in one of the short-session slots.
The OZ-IA program content is pretty diverse - as it should be! - and includes topics such as Agile IA, information flow [...]

LivingGreener.gov.au centralises a lot of knowledge available on living more sustainably, especially government information about rebates, grants and loans available. Although there are many websites out there that tackle various aspects of sustainability and what we can do about it, this website’s unique strategic goal is to centralise lots of disparate informatio, encourage further activity, [...]

The Environment Minister The Hon. Peter Garrett has just announced the launch of a new government website: LivingGreener.gov.au. It centralises a lot of government information available on living more sustainably, especially information about rebates, grants and loans available.
There’s been a tonne of work involved in getting this website live, and the Department of Environment, Water, [...]
